Preparations before Pot beam installation
Before installing the pot beam, it needs to be checked to ensure that it is intact and meets the design requirements. At the same time, its foundation shall be checked to ensure that it is flat, solid and free from debris and ponding. Before installation, it is also necessary to calibrate its installation position to ensure the accuracy of the installation position.
Pot beam installation
1. Draw the centerline at the design position of the pot beam, and mark the centerline on the top and bottom plates.
2. Thread the anchor bolt into the anchor bolt hole of the base plate (top plate) and screw it into the bottom column. Rubber washer with diameter slightly larger than that of the bottom column shall be padded between the base plate and the bottom column.
3. Pour the anchor bolt hole and its base plate cushion with epoxy mortar or high-grade mortar after putting the Pot beam in place, centering and adjusting the level. Remove the cushion block for adjusting its levelness after the mortar is hardened, and fill the cushion block position with epoxy mortar. The epoxy mortar shall be poured densely.
4. When pot-bearing is connected by welding, steel plates shall be embedded at corresponding positions of its top and bottom plates, and symmetric intermittent square welding shall be adopted after it is in place. During welding, pay attention to prevent the impact on rubber plate and polytetrafluoroethylene plate caused by too high temperature. Rust release treatment shall be carried out on the welding parts after welding.
5. If the T-beam is pot type, temporary supporting measures shall be taken at the beam end during construction and installation to prevent the T-beam from tilting. The temporary support can be removed after the transverse diaphragms between two T-beams are welded as a whole.
6. Pay attention to the protection of PTFE plate and stainless steel sliding plate after unpacking, prevent scratches and dirt from adhering to the surface of stainless steel sliding plate and PTFE sliding plate, and check whether the 5201-2 silicone grease is filled.
7. The Pot beam centerline shall coincide with or be parallel to the main beam centerline. When installing the Pot beam by one-way movement, the upper and lower guide blocks must be kept parallel, and the intersection angle shall not be greater than 5 ‘.
8. For continuous beam bridges, thermal insulation measures must be taken when implementing temporary anchorage devices for system conversion and cutting to avoid damage to rubber plates and polytetrafluoroethylene plates.
Pot beam adjustment
Upon installation, the pot beam needs to be adjusted to ensure that its bearing capacity and deformation meet the design requirements. During the adjustment process, professional measuring equipment shall be used to test the deformation and bearing capacity. In case of deviation, it shall be adjusted timely to ensure its stability and safety.
Technical points and precautions
During construction, construction shall be carried out in strict accordance with design requirements to ensure construction quality and safety. Meanwhile, each link in the construction process shall be monitored and managed to avoid quality problems and potential safety hazards.
When installing the pot beam, professional lifting equipment shall be used to ensure the accuracy and stability of the installation position. During installation, pay attention to its levelness and verticality to avoid deviation.
When adjusting the point beam, professional measuring equipment shall be used to test its deformation and bearing capacity. In case of deviation, it shall be adjusted timely to ensure its stability and safety.
During construction, attention shall be paid to environmental protection and civilized construction on the construction site. Upon the completion of construction, the site shall be cleaned in time to ensure that the construction site is clean and beautiful.
Post-construction acceptance and maintenance
Upon completion of construction, the pot beam needs to be accepted to ensure compliance with design requirements and quality standards. During acceptance, it is required to conduct comprehensive inspection on its bearing capacity, deformation, connection parts, etc. to ensure stable, safe and reliable performance.
Regular maintenance shall be carried out for the pot beam after acceptance to ensure its long-term stable operation. During maintenance, it is necessary to inspect and maintain the connection parts and rubber materials, find out and handle potential problems in time to ensure its service life and safety.
